Privacy Policy

Awaken Tech LLC ("Awaken," "we," "us") operates the Awaken: Daily Bible Alarm mobile application (the "App") and the website at tryawaken.co (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have about your data.

Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, name (if provided), and account preferences.

Subscription data: when you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We receive subscription status (active, trial, cancelled, refunded) and plan type (annual, monthly) through our subscription management partner RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment card information.

Usage data: anonymous events describing how you interact with the App, including which rituals you complete, time spent on screens, and feature usage. This is processed through PostHog to help us improve the product.

Device data: your device model, iOS version, language, and timezone. We use this to deliver the App correctly and to send relevant push notifications.

Attribution data: when you install the App via a creator or partner link, we record which link brought you to us. This is processed through AppsFlyer and used to pay creators their commission. The attribution record contains your anonymous device identifier and the referring link, not your personal account information.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the App's core functionality, including Morning Ritual, Third Hour, and your streak tracking.
• To process your subscription through Apple and RevenueCat.
• To send you push notifications you have opted into (reminder alarms, streak milestones).
• To understand how users interact with the App and improve the product.
• To attribute installs and conversions to creator and partner programs.
• To communicate with you about product updates, important account changes, and customer support responses.

Who We Share Information With

We share data only with the processors required to run the App:

• Apple (payment processing, App Store distribution)
• RevenueCat (subscription status management)
• PostHog (anonymous usage analytics)
• AppsFlyer (install attribution)
• Supabase (secure data storage)
• Stripe Connect (creator and partner payouts, limited to creator identifiers, not end-user data)

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Data Retention

We keep your account information and subscription history for as long as you have an active account, plus 30 days after cancellation. Anonymous usage events are retained for 24 months. Attribution records are retained for 90 days.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your account and associated data, or opt out of email communications at any time. Email hi@tryawaken.co with your request. We respond within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability.

Children's Privacy

Awaken is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact hi@tryawaken.co and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption for data in transit and encrypted storage at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top. For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the App.
